wat do ya guys tink abt not getting a bike upon passing class 2b and wait a yr later pass 2a den str get a 2a bike? tinking of getting RVF den.

heard ppl say b4 ride class 2b den str to class 2, bike too powerful.. cannot handle..
hw abt my case? str to 400cc??

tink u should come out ride 2b 1st though… so tat u noe more abt the actual road condition on the road… in test centre r fixed routes… when u r on ur own on the road… might be different… i felt u should go 4 the experience… at least u hone ur skills everyday…

i agree.... with kokomo.. must have some actual riding experience on rd oso.. sometime is not just abt handling of bike. its oso abt being able to sui ji ying bian... wel.. im stil not a rider .. so.. wat i say is base on my own tinking. if im wrong.. do correct mi~ :p

When I passed my TP in APR, I did not get a bike. Went round looking for one with my senior. It wasn't until July or so when I found my bike. When I got on the road for the very first time on my bike, I was wobbling very badly. I was afraid to change lanes .... Throttle cannot control properly, cannot balance properly when stopping, very hard braking .... I just passed my TP only a few months back leh .... so what do you think will happen after 1 year ?
Personally, I would recommend that you gain on-the-road experience first .... you dun have to buy a new bike ... just buy a lao-K also can .... go on the road ... get experience .... maybe also experience bike fall down 1 or 2 times to learn how to recover in the situation ... blah blah blah ...

It's not so easy to get a 2A/B as you tink. This is especially so when you dun ride very often.

FYI, the main problem for 2B riders when riding 2A would be the engine break. It's quite strong. 2nd wld be the weight and then the power.

i onli tink abt saving the money str go for class 2a bike lor.. cos the diff not realli much.and aso cos a fren's urgently selling his bike.. and bf considering to buy it over as ka-tar and aso so dat i can ride when i pass.. so he ask me lor.. and i predict i'll rarely ride it cos i'm onli into sportbikes ... so wondering lor... if i str buy a class 2a after a yr of riding onli once in a blue moon.. hw will it be.

so i guess now.. i'll continue searching ard for my TZM lor.. kekek :p

i know of 2 ppl, ride LC kia, get class 2 immediately switch to blackbird and harley.
it's not impossible loh, but must be very careful in the beginning.

but if u wanna skip 2b then directly go 2a i think not advisable, 2b can learn alot of valuable lessons that you cannot learn in school.

like how to cup corner, when to cut ppl lane, how to show middle finger etc Very Happy

wah..i agree wif henry...2b u learn a lot of things like how to DIY ur bike,change parts, and a lot more things.
Another question is can u control a heavier bike without experience of a smaller one?

logically, you should get a 2b bike, ride it for a year, then go for a 2a bike. finally, after a year with the 2a bike, you can then ride a class 2 bike without being a hazard on the road.

if you go against this process, chances of an accident with the class 2a bike will be very great.

that time i taking 2a, got quite a few malay guys oso they skip 2b directly go 2a. they say 2b no fun, so they save money for 2a.

but if you think carefully, usually when ppl buang most jialat is during their 2b times. 2b is good for experience, esp buang experience. altho dun wanna curse u, most ppl will have one. and it's better to have it now, than to have it later Smile

heh~..i remembered da first time i got my bike sia...collected from werkshop at bendeemeer...went riding around town sia...and squeeze here and there. only thing to watch out for is when ur enjin stall in the middle of the road...conferm panic...but muz keep ur head...
in the end...bike enjin stall at yishun coz fuel finish...had to walk...stoopid

ah well...1st time sia...what to do...over eager. hehe~

i remember something funny that happened to me also...

was riding my friend's TZM to buy stuff... ride along bukit timah road, supposed to make a right turn, to go to lornie road, at the fly-over there. cos i started his engine when cold, i used choke, but forgot to push it back. then when i reach the junction, red light, so slowed down. i closed throttle, braked and kicked down the gears. then as expected.. the bike see-chia. i thought shit shit shit.. something wrong. somemore stuck at the right-most lane (turning right). then kick and kick, but i think engine bogged already, cos choke was on. i was kicking all way til the lights turned green then red again. wah lanz... super paiseh man.. all the cars that were stuck behind me gave me curious looks when they passed me: the idiot kicking his bike in the middle of the road. i think i was kicking around for the 13th time before i realized the choke was on... kns.. damn stupid man...

Ball ah, i advise u to buy a cheap 2B bike to recognise SG roads and condition 1st, when u have experience then change to 2A.. experience is very important, if u change straight to 2A... sure bound to have alot of problems... power wise, rd condition wise etc...

just imagine u skill not there yet, u straight ride RVF, what if u raining? Diff weather conditions will affect ur way of riding... Smile
